Lasagna is an often requested meal for special events. After boiling the noodles, rinsing, and stirring in some oil; they still stick. Now after rinsing, I spray them with olive oil, lightly toss, then spray again. The noodles no longer stick before transferring them to the pan to be layered.

August 2007 “Cooking Disasters” Winner —

I wanted to surprise my new husband with a beautiful birthday cake at our first dinner party. I had decorated it with flowers and it was indeed beautiful; however, when I started to cut into it the icing remained firm -- so firm that the knife slid off of it sending the icing -- in a solid piece -- flying in one direction and the cake in the other. In the years that followed I mastered the art of baking rather well, but that experience has haunted my memory for the past fifty years!
