When I have a lot of hard boiled eggs to cut, I get out the pastry cutter, put all the eggs in a bowl and cut with that. So much faster than doing them individually!!

June 2004 “Cooking Disasters” Winner —

I was making a chocolate cheesecake to enter into a contest. I forgot that my 3 year old was playing with my pans as a drum set and I didn't double check my springform pan. I filled the pan with the thick chocolate cheesecake and lifted the pan to place it in the oven. Much to my surprise, the bottom of the pan was in upside-down and the whole bottom fell out along with the cheesecake mixture. Fortunately, cheesecake is semi-thick so I scooped it up off the counter and shoveled in back into the pan. It wasn't as high as usual but at least we still had cheesecake.
