She was my new bride from the land of Creole, but hadn't learned much cooking from her mother's skirt.

She made Shrimp Creole- boiled shrimp mixed in a spicy sauce and served over rice. Unfortunately, she didn't know the shrimp should be peeled before mixing them in the sauce.

It was a mess, trying to fish the shrimp out of the sauce and peel them.

The worst disaster for me, though, was that this was one of her better meals!
