During the summer months, freeze your favorite cold drinks in ice-cube trays. Serve the frozen cubes with cold drinks instead of regular ice-cubes made from water, for a better tasting, undiluted drink. You can also use lemonade "ice-cubes" in iced-tea, in place of a lemon slice. Yum!

My cooking disaster happened a few years ago. Some friends called to say that they would be stopping in to visit with me later that day, and with a million of things to do I decided to purchase a pumpkin pie to serve with coffee. After making my selection I brought home the frozen pie and put it in the refrigerator to defrost so it would be ready for when my friends arrived. The table was set, the coffee was perking and my guests arrived so it was time to serve the pumpkin pie that I was so hungry for. I went to the refrigerator and took the pie out (still in the box) tipping it to get it out of the refrigerator. Much to my surprise the box started dripping, and when I opened it the pie shell was empty and the pumpkin was all over the box. It was a fresh pie that had to be baked before serving. I thought it was a baked pumpkin pie that was frozen. We all had a good laugh after I cleaned up the mess. To this day whenever I have pumpkin pie I remember the day I tired to serve my friends the running pumpkin pie.
