My cooking tip is really a baking tip. I mixed together one half cup of cake flour and one cup of confectioner's sugar which I keep in a container with a shaker top. I keep this container in a sealed plastic bag.

When I am making rolled out cookies, I use this mixture instead of the all-purpose flour normally used on the rolling pin and surface. I have found this eliminates the floury taste from using flour and produces a much better tasting cookie!!!! The convenience of being able to just shake out the amount you need is an added plus!

You'll get lots of compliments on your favorite holiday cookies using this method!!!

I had been given a huge batch of pecans by a friend of mine who had a well-producing tree. So, I shelled pecans for hours while I watched television. Finally, after several evenings, I had enough to make two beautiful pecan pies, which I made & took to a family dinner. My sister took one bite of the pie, bit down, and blood began to come out of her mouth. Apparently, I hadn't shelled the pecans as well as I thought!
