Charleston Chili

Now that the extravagant holiday cooking and baking are behind us, it’s time for some simple but satisfying meals. This Chili is perfect for a cold winter night or as snack for informal get-togethers.
Ingredients:
1-1 ½ lbs. ground beef
½ large onion, diced
½ green pepper, diced
2 tablespoons Lillie’s of Charleston Ho-Lotta Seasoning Mix
1 teaspoon of cumin
1 teaspoon of chili powder
½ teaspoon of sugar
2 ½ oz. of Lillie’s of Charleston Low Country Loco Hot Sauce
2 ½ cups of water
Optional: One 16 oz. can of kidney beans
Directions:
On the stovetop, brown hamburger meat in a skillet until done. Drain off all grease.
Add diced onions and peppers and cook until translucent.
While stirring, add all seasonings and sugar.
Transfer ingredients to a stockpot and add Low Country Loco Hot Sauce to stockpot ingredients.
Add water and stir again.
Let simmer for 1 hour.
Optional: Add kidney beans during the last 15 minutes of cooking.
Serves 4
