Asian Pepper Market Flank Steak
Courtesy of Urban Accents
Flank Steak is an inexpensive lean cut of beef and is easily susceptible to becoming tough from cooking. That is why flank steaks are typically marinated – this breaks down the fiber and actually “cooks” the meat even before hitting the flame. When prepared properly and cut very thin, you will certainly enjoy this tasty cut of beef. Also, don’t miss our brand new BBQ products –
Ingredients:
One 1 ˝ lb. flank steak, trimmed & scored
2 tablespoons Urban Accents Asian Pepper Market
2 tablespoons sesame seed oil
1 tablespoon garlic flakes
2 tablespoons honey
˝ cup fresh cilantro, chopped
3 tablespoons dark soy sauce
Juice from 2 limes
Directions:
Place flank steak in a shallow non-reactive dish.
Combine all other ingredients in a bowl and pour over steak.
Marinate for at least 1 hour (over night is better).
Grill or broil close to the heat for about 4 minutes per side or until cooked medium rare.
Remove from heat and let stand for a few minutes.
Thinly slice across the grain.
While the steak is cooking, take the leftover marinade and place it in a small pot. Bring to a boil and reduce marinade by ˝. Pour reduced marinade over the sliced steak and serve.
Prep Time: 10 minutes
